4Drive Korea operates the website 4drivekorea.com, connecting customers with local vehicle providers across Jeju Island and other regions of South Korea. We act as booking service in the booking process. When you complete a reservation, the vehicle provider issues the hire agreement and becomes a separate data controller for contract and vehicle collection purposes.
When you submit a contact form or leave a review on our website, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, and message content. If you choose to include additional details in free-text fields, that information is also stored.
Our web server automatically logs technical data when you visit any page: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, pages accessed, and timestamp. These logs help us diagnose technical issues and understand traffic patterns.
We do not collect payment card details directly. Card transactions for booking advances are processed by our payment gateway, which handles cardholder data under its own security standards.
When you submit a booking enquiry or confirm a reservation, you provide your name, email address, pick-up location and date, mobile number for the local provider, and driver licence details required for the hire agreement. This information passes through our booking system and is shared with the vehicle provider assigned to fulfil your reservation.
The provider uses your details to prepare the hire agreement, arrange vehicle collection at the agreed location (airport counter, city office, or hotel delivery), and communicate collection instructions in your voucher. Once the provider issues the contract, they process your data independently under their own terms.
Booking references, voucher numbers, and correspondence related to your reservation are retained in our records to handle amendments, answer queries, and resolve any post-hire issues that involve our booking service.
We use a small number of essential cookies to maintain your session as you navigate between pages and complete booking forms. These cookies do not track you across other websites.
We also deploy analytics tools that collect anonymised usage data: pages viewed, time spent on the site, device category, and approximate geographic region derived from IP address. This aggregate data helps us improve page layout, identify popular routes such as Jeju Airport or Seongsan, and optimise content for mobile visitors.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may prevent the booking form from functioning correctly, but will not stop you from viewing informational pages or contacting us by email.
We use your contact form submissions to reply to questions about availability, vehicle specifications, payment methods, or driving requirements such as the International Driving Permit. Review submissions may be published on our website after moderation, displaying your first name and month of travel without email address.
Booking data is used to confirm your reservation, send the voucher with provider contact details, and handle amendments or cancellations you request before the pick-up date. Technical logs are analysed periodically to monitor site performance and detect unusual access patterns.
We do not use your information for marketing lists, third-party advertising, or automated decision-making. Any email correspondence relates directly to your enquiry or booking.
Your booking details are shared with the vehicle provider assigned to your reservation. Providers are independent operators based in Jeju city, Seogwipo, and other service areas. They need your name, licence information, and contact number to prepare the hire agreement and coordinate pick-up logistics.
Payment transaction data is handled by our payment gateway provider, which processes card authorisations for the booking advance. We do not share data with marketing platforms, social networks, or data brokers.
We may disclose information if required by South Korean law enforcement or regulatory authorities, or to protect our legal rights in the event of a dispute.
Contact form submissions and non-booking enquiries are kept for one year, then deleted unless ongoing correspondence requires a longer retention period. Booking records, including vouchers and email threads, are held for three years to comply with accounting requirements and handle any delayed claims related to vehicle condition or hire terms.
Server logs are rotated every six months. Analytics data is stored in aggregated form indefinitely, with no link to individual visitors.
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. If any detail is inaccurate, you can ask us to correct it. You may also request deletion of your information, subject to our need to retain booking records for legal and accounting purposes.
If you have subscribed to email updates, you can withdraw consent at any time by following the unsubscribe link or emailing [email protected]. Withdrawal does not affect emails directly related to an active booking, such as voucher delivery or amendment confirmations.
