4Drive Korea operates as a booking platform linking travellers with established rental providers throughout South Korea. We handle advance payments online and supply confirmed vouchers for collection at local offices, airport desks, or hotel delivery points. Each rental agreement is signed directly with the provider upon vehicle handover, ensuring you deal with the company managing the fleet and local support.
Our system consolidates inventory from independent operators in regional hubs. Whether you need a compact for urban Jeju routes or a pickup for gravel access roads near Hallasan trailheads, the vehicle comes from a provider based in that city. We do not own the fleet. We process your booking, forward payment, and issue documentation showing pick-up location, contact details, and rental terms.
Start by entering your pick-up city, dates, and preferred vehicle type. Search results display available models with transmission, drivetrain specifications, and included services. Each listing shows which optional extras cost more: second driver, child seat, or ferry booking for Udo Island side trips.
At checkout you pay a booking advance by card online. Debit and credit cards are accepted for this step. The remaining balance is settled at the rental desk, using the payment method specified for that particular vehicle in your voucher. Methods vary by model, not by class, so check the details during booking.
Your voucher arrives by email with the provider's name, address, opening hours, and emergency contact. Present the voucher and your driving licence with International Driving Permit at collection. The provider inspects the vehicle with you, notes any existing marks in the rental agreement, and hands over keys. Return follows the same inspection process to confirm condition.
We currently serve Jeju, covering Jeju International Airport and city centre locations. CJU sits 5 km west of downtown via Route 1132, making airport pick-up practical for immediate departure to coastal or mountain destinations. Providers offer desks at the terminal, offices in Yeon-dong, and delivery to accommodation in Jungmun or Seongsan areas.
Jeju Island measures approximately 180 km around its coastal loop on Route 1132. Drive times range from 40 km east to Seongsan Ilchulbong to 38 km south to Cheonjiyeon Waterfall. Hallasan National Park trailheads lie 25-30 km south of the city, and Manjanggul lava tube sits 30 km northeast. Udo Island ferry terminals are 45 km east at Seongsan port.
Many listings on our platform carry no blocked deposit at pick-up. This means the provider does not hold funds on your card as security during the rental period. You remain responsible for any damage within the excess stated in your rental agreement, but no amount is frozen or authorised as a pre-charge.
No-deposit terms are independent of insurance coverage. Your rental still includes third-party liability and collision damage waiver with an excess threshold. If damage occurs below that threshold, you pay directly. The absence of a blocked deposit simply removes the temporary hold, leaving your card limit available for fuel, tolls, or other expenses during your trip.
For vehicles requiring a deposit, check your card's available limit before travel. If you lack a credit card, consider requesting a temporary limit increase from your bank to cover the hold amount. Requirements vary by individual model, so confirm payment and deposit details in your voucher before departing for collection.
